City Palace
A perfect amalgamation of the Mughal, Rajput and European architecture, the City Palace in Jaipur stands as one of the most magnificent historic buildings that draw the attention of every tourist or traveler. Erected during the reign of Jai Singh II, the fort overlooks Amber Fort and the Maota Lake and also provides a mesmerizing view of the Aravalli hills. The fort also houses an armoury, Museum and the Early Modern Era’s largest cannon on wheels called the Jaivana cannon.
Nahargarh Fort
Nahargarh Fort bordered on the Aravalli Hills provides an awe-inspiring view of the heart throbbing pink city. The fort was constructed by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II in the year 1734 as a place of recede. The fort along with Amber Fort and Jaigarh Fort once formed a strong defensive ring for Jaipur. The fort was earlier known as Sudarshangarh that was haunted by the spirit Nahar Singh Bhomia who obstructed the erection of the fort. It was only after the temple built in his memory that pacified the spirit and gave the current name to this fort.
